Design

As a design-based company, we primarily focus on contemporary remodeling and new construction. We pursue only design-based work as we feel this is what separates us from many other companies.

Careful consideration of functionality and well thought out design ensures relevance within the space; this allows the customer to enjoy the product long after we have finished. Following are some of the design elements we use to create a space that is unique and exciting.

Design Elements

  • Minimalism – the idea that good design is not always about what we add, but also about what we remove; allowing spaces to be defined by simple lines and strong elements.

  • Suspension – suspended stairs, cantilevered rooms, floating glass – all are concepts of soothing weightlessness, with an underlying current of uneasiness and tension.

  • Hidden Spaces – sometimes whimsical, sometimes intriguing, these areas can serve as a retreat from life or a simply a private area.

  • Alternative Materials – we find that sometimes the application of a product in a setting other than its intended use is a better, more economical, and more exciting solution.

  • Earth Elements – stone, wood, iron, fire, water…these are not only the tools to create but also to inspire when used in a visual application.

  • Asymmetry – the ability to make the mundane a little more intriguing by moving it off center or using odd-number applications

CUSTOMER SERVICE

In addition to design and quality work we understand the importance of customer service. Our systems allow the job to run as smooth as possible making the experience enjoyable for both parties by scheduling weekly meetings throughout the project. This allows for open communication to address any questions that you might have during the construction process. Due to our years of experience, we can foresee and avoid many potential problems as well as provide a format for dealing with any issues that may arise. We also understand that a neat job site reduces client stress; this is ensured by a scheduled cleaning time at the end of every day.

PROCESS

If you are considering building a new home, remodeling or adding an outdoor living space, let us show you what sets us apart from other companies. After contacting us, we will meet with you to discuss the project.

We will carefully listen to what it is you want to accomplish and apply your desires to our design process. We start by defining the “Form”, “Flow” and “Function”. The “Form” is the overall feel you get from the space. It can include things such as the style, finish and sight lines. The “Flow” is how you move both within the space as well as how you transition to and from it. It includes both physical and visual movement. The “Function” is how you utilize the space.

This addresses how you want or need the area to perform. By giving consideration to all three of these elements, we are able to create a balanced design. After the design process, if you would like to go forward with the project we begin discussing specifics and layout a detailed schedule. Once the project begins, our systems allow for a smooth and enjoyable experience as you watch the design come to life.
