Red Box Design
Accessibility statement
Effective August 21, 2026
We want everyone to be able to use this website, including people who rely on assistive technology. That goal shapes how the site is built, and we treat it as ongoing work rather than a finished checkbox.
What the site does today
- Descriptive text alternatives on photographs, so screen readers can describe the work.
- Support for reduced motion: if your device asks for less animation, the site turns its motion effects off.
- Semantic headings, labeled forms, and keyboard reachable navigation.
- Text that scales with your browser settings and color choices aimed at strong contrast.
The honest part
We aim toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA and we are not perfect yet. Some interactive elements and color pairings are still being improved. Accessibility fixes are part of the site's regular maintenance.
Tell us where it fails you
If any part of this site is hard to use with your setup, we genuinely want to know, and we will fix what we can. Contact Mariah Quick at mariah@redboxdesign.org or 309-221-7655 and describe what happened and what browser or assistive technology you were using.
